Activity Days in December

December was a great month for Activity Days. Our first activity was making Baptism Bags for all the kids in the Primary who will turn 8 next year. We had each of the girls come prepared with something to share about the day they were baptized, and then we talked about how important our baptismal covenants are. Then we put together these bags. They each contained things that reminded us of baptism. The white bag was to remind them how clean and pure they were after their baptism. The water was a reminder of being baptized by immersion. A washcloth as a reminder that they had been washed clean of their sins. Soap to remind them that they should have clean thoughts and actions. A ruler to be a reminder that the Holy Ghost is a teacher. A candle to remind them the Holy Ghost will light their path. A heart to show them how much Jesus loves them. And a picture of Christ to help them always remember Him and try to be like them. Then each of their girls wrote their own testimony of baptism and we added those to our bags. The girls were so excited to make something for their friends in Primary, especially the girls who will get to join us in Activity Days this year.

Our second activity was one that was so much fun. All the girls were able to make their own nativity. They were all so excited about them and it was fun to see all the different faces the girls were able to give Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus.
