This month, we had two great activities for Activity Days. The first was our"Friend" Bowl. All the girls were asked to study the September issue of the "Friend" magazine. Then, it was game time!
The girls were divided into teams and then were all asked the same questions. If the team was able to answer the question without using their magazine, they
received five points. If they needed to use their "Friend", they could still earn one point. Each team did a fabulous job and the end results were so close! Our Rainbow team ended up winning. We then finished our activity by learning the song that was printed in the "Friend". The girls all learned that there are
so
many different things that are in the "Friend" each month. What a wonderful resource for our girls!
Our second activity for the month was service oriented. We made
place mats for the Nursery in our ward to use for their snack time. We used our old "Friend" magazines to make collages and a lot of the girls added their own artistic touches. We then had them laminated so they will be able to used for a long time. They turned out so cute and the Nursery loved them! What a great month for Activity Days.
